Egg Fried Rice

For all of you who are big fans of the cart fried rice in India . Or the Indian Chinese Fried rice. This is for you.


Basmati Rice / Plain Rice
Spring Onions (optional)
Soy Sauce
Chilli Sauce

Cooking Time : 25-40 mins

1. Cook rice.

2. Slice all the vegetable you want in your fried rice. I am not a big fan of cabbage, but if you like it, it can go in too.

3. Boil these veggies with a pinch of salt for about 5-8 mins.Drain water from veggies and keep aside.

3. Heat oil in a vessel, add veggies, a few mins later add the egg (like you do for an omelette).

4. Now keep stirring the veggies and the egg, so that the egg is scrambled.

5. Add a teaspoon of soy sauce and chili sauce and toss the veggies. Also add a pinch of aginomoto. (When I say pinch - its strictly pinch)

6. Now add the rice. When you are adding rice make sure you don't put lumps.

7. Mix the rice and veggies.

8. Add salt and pepper and make sure its evenly spread to the rice.

9. Finely mince spring onions and add  for flavor.

Need less to say , veg fried is the same recipe minus the egg!
