Palakura- Pesarapappu Koora / Moong Dal - Palak Curry

I am not a green veggie fan. I only eat them when cooked with dal. So today I tried my hand at with palak and moong dal. Turned quite well actually. Also, doesn't require much oil.

1. Moong Dal - 1 cup
2. Palak - 1 bunch
3. Onions
4. Chillies
5. Cumin Powder
6. Haldi
7. Salt
8. Turmeric
9. Tadka

Cooking Time : 45 mins

1. Take a vessel and fry the moong dal with out oil. Fry till they are golden brown.

2. Now add 2 cups of water to the moong dal and close the lid.

3. Once the dal is half cooked, add cut onions, green chillies and spinach.

4. Mix well and add salt and turmeric to the same.

5. close the lid and let it cook.

6.Once the dal is completely cooked, open the lid and open fry it till curry is free of water.

7. Now add a little cumin powder and garam masala for the flavor.

8. If you dont like masala with your spinach add the tadka. (Take oil add garlic, cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chilies, pinch of aestofida )

Serve with rice or roti and it tastes awesome :)
